Make haste to help me, O Lord. You think he wants God to drag his feet and go slow?
Nope. Nope. Make haste. Go ahead. Let them be ashamed and confounded. Confounded, yep. Who seek my life. Let them be torn back and confused. Who desires my heart. Let them be torn back because of their shame. Who say, ah ha, ah ha. Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. And let all those who love your salvation say continually, let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy. Make haste to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer. O God, do not delay. What do you think David is talking about there?
That he's poor? Where do you see that? But I am poor and needy. Okay, so verse 5, right? And because he's poor and needy, what does he need God to do? Help him. People are trying to kill him. That's right. He needs people to help. He needs God to help him, right? Make haste to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer. O Lord, do not delay. So if you're in a bad spot in life, what can you do? Pray to God. Yeah, you can pray to God.
Has God delivered us from something even bigger than just trouble in this life? Sin. Yeah, he's rescued us from sin and death, hasn't he?
